Management David von Storch
David founded and is President of Urban Adventures Companies, a lifestyle company headquartered in Washington DC, in 1986. UAC consists of three integrated and affiliated businesses: - Health and Wellness: VIDA Fitness opened its first location at the Verizon Center in August 2006 and now operates three locations in Washington, DC with four additional locations now under active development. Aura Spa is located within the VIDA Fitness Logan Circle/Metropole and Renaissance Hotel locations.
- Beauty and Style: Bang Salon, a funky, hip and high-volume salon opened on U Street in 2001, In 2006, Bang teamed up with VIDA Fitness and is now located in three VIDA locations.
- Dining and Entertainment: David co-founded and is President of Capitol City Brewing Company which started Capitol City in 1991 and now operates restaurant/breweries in three locations in Washington, DC and Virginia. In 2011, UA opens 901, a new dining concept featuring a creative American-style sharing menu in a highly stylized urban environment.
The full integration of these three business units will occur in one location - a new 50,000 s.f. flagship VIDA Fitness, Bang Salon, Aura Spa, Penthouse Pool Club and restaurant/lounge. This project, to open in phases in beginning in May 2011 represents the next generation of UA's integrated urban lifestyle concept.
Previously, David was founder and President of DAKOTA Nightclub/MONTANA Café. This highly successful restaurant/bar/nightclub opened in 1987 in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC. Prior to that, David was the Assistant Director, Project Finance, for The Rouse Company (now General Growth Properties).
David received a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina as a Morehead Scholar. Aaron Moore
Regional Manager
Aaron arrived at VIDA in June 2007 after spending the previous 2 years coaching college football at Ohio University. Aaron oversees operations and future planning for all VIDA Fitness locations. In addition to his background in the fitness industry, Aaron also brings a wide variety of experience in athletics at the high school, college, and professional levels. His office is located at 1612 U Street NW, Suite 400 WDC 20009.
James J. Kameen
Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
James comes to VIDA with over 12 years experience in the fitness industry concentrating on individual memberships and corporate wellness. As Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for the company, James is responsible for overseeing all sales, advertiising and marketing activities, as well as the sales personnel at the Verizon Center, Metropole and Renaissance VIDA locations. His office is located at 1612 U Street, NW Suite 400 WDC 20009
Sonny Sayarath
General Manager Metropole
Sonny joined the Vida team in 2008 as Membership Director of Vida Verizon. While overseeing sales Sonny was heavily involved club operations and took over as Assistant General Manager and eventually as General Manager of Vida Metropole in 2011. Apart from fitness Sonny is an avid motorcyclist who rides all year round.
